Cold Hand Winery’s Anna 2018 is in the UK for the first time ever, imported by Quality Ferments and sold in several bars and restaurants, now available for you to enjoy at home!
Anna is a semi-dry sparkling wine made from danish cherries and apples. The apples are harvested at optimum maturity and pressed into juice, which is frozen and thawed outside. The thick syrup is spontaneously fermented then the sparkling apple wine is carefully blended with a dosage of Cold Hand’s cherry wine, Prunus Nigra. It is then fermented in bottle for a further 10 months using the traditional method allowing the flavours to blend and mature.
The result is a bold and complex yet fresh and fruity sparkling wine with notes of apples, cherries, red berries and fine spicy notes.
Cold Hand Anna 2018 should be served chilled at 5-10ºC and is fantastic as an aperitif, best enjoyed in the sun with friends, family and food.
Suggested food pairings: cheese, charcuterie, poultry and light meat dishes.
All of Cold Hand’s wines are both gluten-free and vegan.
