Sparkling pear/cherry, semi sweet

Cold Hand Winery’s Sparkling Ice Pear and Cherry wine is now available in the UK! A delicious addition to the Sparkling Ice series and a new product for Quality Ferments. We’re really excited to introduce it to you!

This semi sweet sparkling wine is made from the best Danish pears and cherries.

The ripe pears are harvested and immediately pressed into must. The must is frozen and then thawed outdoors at minus temperatures. The frost binds the water in the must, while the sugar, acid, aroma and colour drip off as thick syrup. The concentrated pear syrup is cold fermented in the winery for 12 months.

This intense cryoconcentrated pear ice wine is blended with aromatic, fresh and slightly acidic cherry wine, and finally the wine is carbonated.

The result is a wine with a deep fruity aroma with delicious cherry notes that fills the mouth with an extraordinary flavour.

Sparkling Ice is made for celebrations and should be served cold at 5-10°C

Suggested food pairings: rich game, cured meats, strong blue cheeses, chocolate, dark forest gateau.

All their wines are both gluten-free and vegan.
