The Cold Hand Ice Wine Starter Pack is a package of all three of our imported Ice Wines from Danish producer Cold Hand Winery. This is the perfect selection as the colder months draw in, each one to be enjoyed as you would a dessert wine or digestif.

Cold Hand Malus Danica 2018 – Apple ice wine made from Danish apples – ABV: 9.5% – 375ml bottle
Award-winning cryo-concentrated apple ice wine made from Danish apples of the varieties Ingrid Marie, Filippa, Elstar, Jonagold, and Belle de Boskoop. This wine marked the beginning of the winery’s fruit wine adventure.

Cold Hand Cydonia 2018 – Ice wine made from Danish quinces – ABV: 11% – 375ml bottle
The quinces are harvested at optimum maturity and immediately after pressed into juice. The juice is frozen and then thawed outside at minus degrees. The frost binds the water in the juice, while sugar, acid, aroma and colour drip off like a thick sirup. The concentrated quince syrup is spontaneously fermented for 18 months.

Cold Hand Rancio 2017 – Sunburned Ice wine made from Danish apples – ABV: 8.7% – 375ml bottle
The apples are harvested at optimum maturity and immediately after pressed into juice. The juice is frozen and then thawed outside at minus degrees. The frost binds the water in the juice, while sugar, acid, aroma and colour drip off like a thick sirup. The concentrated apple syrup is spontaneously fermented for 12 months. After that, the wine has been left outside in glass balloons over the summer. Here is the wine exposed to a lot of sunlight, heat and oxidation.
