Based in the cider heartland of Somerset, Pilton makes an exciting range of whole juice ciders.
Their core ingredients are the bittersweet cider apples that grow in traditional orchards around the parish of Pilton. Using the artisan method of keeving to transform the juice from this full flavoured fruit into unique naturally sweet ciders. Finally, they weave in different yeasts, other fruits and barrel‑aging techniques to create a variety of small batch drinks.
You can find their ciders in bottle shops, natural wine bars and restaurants throughout the UK and now in ten countries across the world.
In Touch is a Grape Skin Contact Cider, made by soaking pinot noir and bacchus grape skins in fermenting cider for six days.
The skins are strained off and the cider allowed to referment and then mature for six months, before being blended with naturally sweet new season keeved cider. Guest blended by Martyn Goodwin-Sharman.
Fresh juicy fruit on the nose, followed by a complex interplay of grape and apple tannins. Medium sweet.
