Little Pomona Orange Cider 2022

Description

Little Pomona Orange Cider 2022 is an infrequent but happy homage to orange wines. This 2022 vintage is organic Bisquet from veteran trees, wild fermented in tank, before a year-long elévage in neutral French oak.

Peach fuzz, sweet incense and a touch of old leather on the nose, this is soft and plush in the mouth, dripping with sweet, juicy ripe fruit – apricot, yellow plums, cantaloupe melon – all underpinned by something more earthbound and rugged that speaks of the orchard in autumn. There’s a little citrus oil here too, plus nutmeg spice, subtle tannins and a finish that evokes the whole of the apple.
